Overview

Camfil Gold Series High Vacuum Dust Collector

Camfil Gold Series® High Vacuum Dust Collectors provide a centralized cleaning operation to help maintain a hygienic and safe working environment. More complex installations with process machines require the targeted source capture of dust to reduce machine maintenance, downtime and assist with product purity and cross contamination prevention.

Often a single Camfil HV unit will replace numerous portable vacuum units. These portable units often do not have the required dust explosion protection or hazardous dust containment features. Replacing them can provide more space on the production floor and eliminate issues of noise, employee safety and dust release.

FAQ

Common Questions

A dust collector is designed to capture dry solid particulate — dust, chips, fines — typically through cartridge or bag filter media. An oil mist collector is designed for airborne liquid droplets generated by machining coolant, stamping, or metal forming, and uses a different filtration approach (often coalescing or mist-eliminator media) suited to liquid rather than solid particulate. Using the wrong equipment type for the application will lead to poor capture and premature filter failure.

Yes, a single properly-sized central dust collector can serve multiple machines through a shared duct network, provided the ductwork and blast gates are sized to maintain adequate capture velocity at each branch even when only some machines are running. Our Ducting & Duct Design service handles this sizing, and pairing the system with Ecogate automatic blast gates keeps airflow — and energy use — matched to whichever machines are actually active.

A typical installation includes rigging and placement of the equipment, ductwork tie-in, electrical coordination, startup and commissioning, and a walkthrough of operation and filter-cleaning procedures with your team before we leave the site. Scope varies by system complexity; contact us for a project-specific quote.

Our equipment is engineered around OSHA general industry standards and the relevant NFPA combustible-dust codes (61, 654, 68, and 69) for the application it's built for, but overall facility compliance also depends on correct sizing, installation, ducting, and ongoing maintenance — which is why we offer Installations, System Audits & Testing, and Maintenance as part of the full system lifecycle rather than treating compliance as a one-time equipment purchase.
