The automation is quite simple: when the machine's cutting tool turns on, blast gates open to achieve designed suction. They stay open until the machine no longer needs suction, at which point the machine's gate closes.
This results in dust (fume, mist) collection that provides electricity savings, better suction, reliability, performance, and safety.
Operated by 24V DC motor, with embedded processor to read pressure, air velocity, and air volume and Modbus communication. The gates are available with a rotating blade or butterfly; zinc plated metal or stainless steel. These are the most robust, advanced, and cost-effective gates on the market. Ecogate is an on-demand ventilation control system that uses automatic blast gates, sensors, and a variable frequency drive to run your dust collector's motor only as fast as the currently active machines require, instead of at full speed continuously. Yes, a single properly-sized central dust collector can serve multiple machines through a shared duct network, provided the ductwork and blast gates are sized to maintain adequate capture velocity at each branch even when only some machines are running.
